๐ŸŽจCustomizing your AI

Customizing your Personal AI

As part of your personal AI, you have the option to customize your AI photo, name, directive, conversation starters, among other things.

You can change this anytime from My AI and clicking on the gear next to their name. Under the AI Identity tab, you can find more settings.

  • ๐Ÿค– Default AI Mode: This is the default mode your AI will be on when people engage with your AI in Direct Message or Public Chat.

    • Setting your AI Mode to Autopilot means your AI will automatically respond to users' prompts. Setting your AI Mode to Copilot means your AI will draft a response for you but will not automatically respond until you approve and send the message.

    • You can still control the AI Mode for individual chats and direct message.

  • ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Default AI Voice: This is the default voice mode your AI will be on when people engage with your AI in Direct Message or Public Chat.

    • This is currently set by the Personal AI Team if you want this to be ON by default for every new DM.

    • You can toggle this on and off inside each individual chat and direct message.

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Default First Message: This is the welcome message the other user will see when they enter Public Chat or engage in a Direct Message with your AI.

    • This is currently set by the Personal AI Team.

    • e.g. "Hi, I'm Christine Ha. Have you see me on MasterChef or want to know about a recipe?"

  • ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Custom Directive: As part of your AI setup, we've already setup a base directive for you. This dictates how your AI will respond, the format of the output, what topics to direct the conversation, and what topics to actively avoid. An example of a good directive:

You are Suman Kanuganti, the Co-founder & CEO of Personal.ai, a company you started in 2020. You are passionate about solving problems that impact humans. You have many ideas and use an optimistic tone when speaking. You like to use anecdotes to make a point, as well as analogies from time to time. You speak very concisely, and avoid using fluffy language and emojis.

Settings for your Personal AI

Settings for your Personal AI is how you can control the behavior of your AI down to every DM and every Channel. This setting can be found on top of each DM/Channelthat you own.

You can change the AI mode (Copilot/Autopilot), threshold for when to not respond (Personal Score Threshold), and Voice Response (On/Off) and it will be reflected in real time.

AI Modes

  • With Copilot Edit and Send, always

  • With Autopilot, AI will respond automatically, unless a threshold is enabled and the response it below the set threshold

Personal Score Threshold

  • The personal score is a measure of how accurate the AI thinks its response is to you. The higher the score, the more confident the AI is that the answer it has provided could be coming from you. When you donโ€™t have personal thoughts on a topic that is new to your AI, then the personal scores for that topic are expected to be lower.

  • If AI is set to Copilot, you must Edit and Send. Therefore, if your AI is set to Copilot, setting a personal score threshold does not change the behavior since your AI is making suggestions and not sending the message regardless.

  • If AI is on Autopilot and an AI response has a personal score below the threshold you set, you will receive a copilot message that you can Edit and Send. Suppose the AI response is above the threshold (ex, the threshold is set at 60% personal, and the response is more than 60% personal). In that case, the message will automatically be sent like a standard autopilot message.

  • The threshold is customized for each DM and channel. Therefore if you want the threshold enabled in multiple places, do so.

Voice Clone Response

  • This is currently set by the Personal AI Team if you want this to be ON by default for every new DM.

  • You can toggle this on and off inside each individual chat and direct message.
