Personal AI Channel Upload

Channel upload is a feature available exclusively to our Elevate customers, designed to enhance collaborative AI training within enterprise environments. This functionality allows any member of a channel to contribute to the AI's knowledge base by uploading documents and files directly to different personas.

Here are some key advantages of this feature:

  • Every channel member now can actively participate in expanding the AI's capabilities without requiring admin-level access to Personal AI. This is particularly beneficial for enterprises where various team members gather valuable resources and insights across different departments or projects.

  • By enabling channel uploads, companies can leverage the collective expertise of their entire team to create more comprehensive AI personas. For instance, a marketing team could collaboratively build a persona focused on brand guidelines and campaign strategies, while a research team could develop a persona specializing in industry trends and competitive analysis.

  • This feature not only streamlines the AI training process but also fosters a more efficient knowledge-sharing environment within organizations. It empowers team members at all levels to contribute their unique insights, ultimately resulting in more versatile AIs tailored to the specific needs of the enterprise.

  • Any uploads made in a channel will be uploaded to the persona that is tied to that channel and not the individual user's memory. Additionally, you can also stack and edit that channel persona's messages to its memory.


How To Upload Within a Channel

Channel upload is a feature available exclusively to our Elevate customers, designed to enhance collaborative AI training within enterprise environments. This functionality allows any member of a channel to contribute to the AI's knowledge base by uploading documents and files directly to different personas.

Here are some key advantages of this feature:

  1. In the channel, you'll see a "+" button next to the message bar.

  2. Click this button to access upload options.

  3. You can upload various types of content:

    • Audio (wav, mp3, mp4, mov, and m4a)

    • Files (docx, md, txt, pdf)

    • Public links

    • Plain text directly in the message bar

When uploading, you can add a title and use hashtags (#) to link the content to specific topics. This helps your AI contextualize the information for future reference while improving the accuracy of the responses.

The uploaded content gets added to your AI's memory stack which allows for future modifications to the content. However, these edits can only be made by the account admin.


Utilizing Colon Indexing in a Channel

Referring to a document in the persona's memory is now easier than ever. Simply type in a prompt and enter ":" where you would put the document name in the prompt. A list of options will appear where you can select which file you would like to reference in your prompt.

Additionally, if you have a specific file in mind, you can begin typing it out (":meeting"), or enter a keyword from the title, and hit enter when you see it appear above. You can also click on the document title in the list of options that appear.

Note you will only be able to reference the documents that have been uploaded to that specific persona's memory.
